Leighton C. Howard
Born March 21, 1929. Passed away July 10, 2008. Leigh is survived by his daughters Marci (Dale) Rogers and Linda (Harry) Jungbauer, and granddaughters Brianna, Lindsay, and Sarah. He was a graduate of Roosevelt High School and the University of Washington. During the Korean Conflict he served in the United States Navy. He retired from the J.C. Penney Company as a District Merchandiser. Leigh embraced each day with enthusiastic optimism. His greatest pride was his family. A humorous man, he always had a smile to greet you along with a funny song, story, joke, or anecdote. His trademark whistle was always uplifting and brought a smile to all. He will be sorely missed by his friends and family. The memories we have and his never ending words of wisdom will live on in our hearts forever. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 19 at the Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home, 11111 Aurora Ave. North, Seattle. Entombment will follow at the Washelli Cemetery.
