David Douglas SETTERBERG
David was born November 14, 1948 in Seattle, Washington to Carl D. and Mary P. Setterberg, and passed away April 25, 2008 after a long battle with cancer. He was drafted by the Army and entered service in October of 1968, serving a 15 month tour in Vietnam. He worked at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 40 years as a Pipe-fitter and Aircraft Carrier Program Work Packaging Manager. His hobbies included playing the guitar, and annual fishing trips with his sons, family and friends. He enjoyed racquetball and walking his dog, Annie, but more than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter Karen. He was loved and respected by family and friends alike. He is survived by his wife, Joanne; sons Jacob and Joseph; his daughters-in-law, Lynn and Melissa; brother, Daniel; sisters, Donna, Helen, and granddaughter, Karen. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor. We will be celebrating David's life at noon on Monday May 5th, 2008 at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home 11111 Aurora Ave N. Seattle. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Cancer Society https://www.cancer.org and designate your donation to Lung Cancer. Please sign an on-line memorial at washelli.com
